A Tale Of 2 Jaw Surgeries

August 2005 / May 2008

Winter 2005 /January 2008

Scary old photos

2 years and 2 surgeries later in May 2008 (6 months post-op)

May 2005 /May 2008

I never thought I'd be posting the ugly shots of me (long pointy lower jaw, narrow concave upper jaw), but I'm very pleased with the results of my surgeries so I wanted to share the dramatic changes with you. I'll compare again once my braces are off, and again at 1 year post-op. T'ill then, the healing continues! There are a few more new 6 month head shots in my gallery.

WOWIE. What a difference. Those teeth have come a long way! My face was also long and pointy. Doesn't make for great pictures, does it? Epecially paired with a long pointy nose. =*( All that is in the past! You look great Graham. Can't wait to see the end results.

I bet that if you still have an old passport photo, the poor official at customs will be quite perplexed looking at you now..:-)

I didn't know what you looked like before your jaw surgeries Graham, until you posted these pics.....you look wonderful! What an amazing transformation, and we haven't even seen the end result yet!

My jaw is settling down nicely. Almost 4 months since my jaw surgery, and I can "almost" eat normally again!

Graham, It has been awhile since I last checked up on you, and I must say...WOW...totally awesome comparison pics. I love the comparisons, it just makes you stop and appreciate everything that you went thru. What a great feeling it! I know I am still in WHOA mode...Im still not believing I actually went thru with my surgery and look at me now! Who Da thunk we could all be so darn purty! It may have taken us a surgery or two but least we are there now...hehe! You look GREAT! Im sooo happy for you. I cant wait to see your finished product.

Hey Graham,
This is the first time I've had a chance to check your blog in awhile. Wow! What a difference....amazing isn't it? I can so understand your journey too having been through the same one myself! Your teeth are looking so good! and I think its great you posted the old photo's of you, it makes the changes look just that much more incredible when you have a before and after to compare it to. I'm so glad you are happy with your results, I know when your going through all this its pretty unnerving sometimes wondering if its all going to be worth it in the end. I think both of us have been great success stories though and its been fun to have someone else that was like my surgery/blog buddy, and that I've been able to sortof see through this whole journey from beginning to end.

I bet this has done wonders for your self confidence too huh? I can't say enough how great you look, and its just going to keep getting better once the braces are off! Happy healing!

Brandy
